WhatsApp QR code

Let customers message you on WhatsApp in one scan. The code opens a chat with your number and can pre-fill a message so they know what to ask.

Full international number, digits only — e.g. 447700900000

Enter the full international number (digits only).

Generated entirely in your browser. SmartQRFlow does not store, track or see the contents of free QR codes — including Wi-Fi passwords and contact details.

How to make your whatsapp qr code

  1. Enter your WhatsApp number. Use the full international number, digits only — for the UK that means starting 447, not 07 or +44.
  2. Add a pre-filled message (optional). A message like "Hi, I'd like to enquire about…" saves your customer typing.
  3. Customise and download. Pick colours and size, then save PNG or SVG.
  4. Test the chat. Scan with your phone to confirm WhatsApp opens a chat to your number with the message pre-filled.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my number need to start 447?

WhatsApp uses the international format without the +. A UK mobile becomes 447 followed by the rest of the number.

Does the customer need WhatsApp installed?

Yes. Scanning opens a wa.me link that launches WhatsApp. If they don't have it, the link offers to install or open WhatsApp Web.

Can I track WhatsApp chats from this code?

The free static code can't be tracked. To count scans, use a dynamic QR code with analytics.
