Wi-Fi QR code

Let guests connect to your Wi-Fi by scanning a code — no password to type or read aloud. The generator builds the standard WIFI: payload with the correct escaping for special characters.

Enter the network name (SSID).

Generated entirely in your browser. SmartQRFlow does not store, track or see the contents of free QR codes — including Wi-Fi passwords and contact details.

How to make your wi-fi qr code

  1. Choose the security type. Most home and business networks use WPA (covers WPA2 and WPA3). Pick WEP for older networks or "No password" for open access.
  2. Enter your network name. Type the SSID exactly as it appears in your Wi-Fi list, including spaces and capital letters.
  3. Enter the password. Add the Wi-Fi password. Special characters are escaped automatically so the code joins correctly.
  4. Download and print. Save a PNG or SVG and display it for guests. Test with your own phone first.

Frequently asked questions

Is my Wi-Fi password safe?

Yes. The password is encoded into the QR image in your browser only. We never send, store or see it. The code does contain the password though, so only share it with people you trust.

Why won't my Wi-Fi code connect?

Check the SSID spelling, security type and password. iPhone and Android both support the WIFI: format, but some older camera apps may not — the built-in camera usually works.

Can I hide the network name?

Tick "Hidden network" if your router broadcasts a hidden SSID. Otherwise leave it unticked.
